Welcome to the Greater Dallas Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce

2007 National Hispanic Chamber of the Year
Recognized by the USHCC
Our mission is to develop, promote and protect Hispanic businesses in the greater Dallas area and to support the advancement, education and economic growth of the Hispanic business community. The Chamber shall serve as a business resource, a forum and advocate for Hispanic business issues and a united voice for the Hispanic business community.

The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Launches Dallas' Newest Young Professionals Group

Dallas-The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of its new Young Professionals (YP) Group. This group for professionals between the ages of 25-40 is designed to engage the future leaders of the Dallas community through leadership & professional development, social networking, special projects, and strategic partnerships.

Given the rapid growth of the Dallas Hispanic community-studies show that the Hispanic population in the DFW area will reach 2.1 million in 2010 with 30% of those being between 20 and 40 years old-the GDHCC felt an immediate need to establish a group for these future leaders. The YP group seeks to be an inclusive and multicultural group and to benefit not only GDHCC members and the Hispanic community, but to serve Dallas' entire diverse community of young professionals.

Among the top benefits of the YP group are business resources, promotion and visibility, industry recruitment, and networking with other YP groups as well as with GDHCC membership.

The GDHCC is very excited to launch this new YP group in Dallas" said CiCi Rojas, President of the GDHCC.  "Now is the time to identify the future leaders of Dallas; we want to develop tomorrow's leaders today."

YP Chair, Veronica Torres added "The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is very progressive in starting the YP group.  It takes that pioneer spirit to help put Dallas in the forefront of our diverse community.  I am honored and very proud to be a part of this great endeavor."

The YP group will be officially launched at a kickoff event at Kenichi (2400 Victory Park Lane) on Thursday, July 24 at 5:30 pm.
For more information on the group or to become a member please contact Monica Orta at 214-523-3426.

Dear Members,

As many of you are aware, the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce took an active and large role in the recent City of Dallas Convention Center Hotel initiative in partnership with the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, and other stakeholder groups.  The GDHCC leadership felt confident our proactive advocacy would ultimately be of immense benefit to our members and to the city of Dallas as a whole.  With the initial passing of the package, which includes the city owning and operating the hotel, the opportunities for GDHCC member participation have never been greater!

Last week, Chairman Frank J. Rosello and I attended a briefing by Mayor Tom Leppert, the City of Dallas economic development department leaders, and members of the City Council regarding the M/D/WBE participation in the project.  It was extremely informative and we are convinced the program plan for inclusiveness will be advantageous to you, our members.

As President, I am strongly encouraging you to begin the process for your products and services to be considered in the many RFPs that will be immediately generated as a result of the construction services phase, followed directly by the hotel general purchasing plan.

As your Chamber, our Procurement department and Business Development committee stand ready to assist you with your questions and navigation through the process.

Please click here for the complete deck provided to us, in addition to the quick web links to the pertinent information for your reference, and staff contact information.

Please feel free to contact me directly regarding this issue or any others concerns you feel need discussion.

With best personal regards,

CiCi Rojas
President & CEO
